The
Cynics: The band that ate Pittsburgh!
Arnold Schwartzenegger, horror tales of broken dicks and Pittsburgh celebrities
are some of the diverse topics Lowcut went through with this 20 year old
garagepunk combo when they came to Copenhagen to show how honest dirty
soulful rock'n'roll is supposed to be played.
Zeke:
Speed Rawk über Messiahs!
Flashy fads and trends may come and go in this world but you can always
rely on Seattle's toughest and fastest motherfuckers to blow your mind.
For more than a decade they've released more than half a dozen albums
and toured like crazy. Lowcut had a little chat with newlywed Blind Marky
Felchtone.
Nashville
Pussy: Southern discomfort
This legendary hardrock 4-piece of Georgia visited Denmark for the 4th
time so of course Lowcut had a nice little chat with singer/guitarist
Blaine Cartwright and his spouse, leadguitar and asskicker deluxe, Ruyter
Suys, about their latest album, labels, songwriting, heroes, and tips
on how to survive in the r'n'r biz.
So
what’s all the fuzz about The Defectors?
Are you ready for The Defectors? As of writing this, they’re
putting the final touches on their third album, to be released on Bad
Afro Records. This is the pre-release hype!
The
Sandmen - Beauties and Beasts
Here at Lowcut the complaining about the Danish music scene just wont
never stop. Its so deep in us after so many years of feeling alienated
and being a laughing stock among our brothers in Norway, Sweden and Finland.
WHY DONT THE DANISH POPULATION UNDERSTAND REAL ROCK MUSIC??? I guess
the Danish rock scene is in better shape than ever now though so it makes
sense to dig out one of those few Danish rock bands that stood out among
heaps of crap in the mid 80s. Lowcut talks to bassplayer Ole Wennike
about the early The Sandmen days in wake of their newly released Best
OF album.
The
Hells - Lovin up a storm in London
The Hells is a new London duo consisting of American dude Kev and Spanish
girl Ippy, looking sharp àla The Blow-Up and kickin
up a messy rocknroll reminiscent of Bo Diddley, Jon Spencer
Blues Explosion et al. Heres a short interview before they are visiting
Copenhagen in December
