The Supersuckers
Loppen, Christiania, March 26th 2007
I've lost count of how many times I've seen Supersuckers
since '92, but they always put on a great fuckin' rock'n'roll
show, and tonite was no different. The r'n'r clichés
always get a workover to max, and this gig was an over-the-top
display of 70s hardrock showmanship. After a weak start with
some new songs that didn't sounded that great, they played
"Luck" off "Smoke Of Hell" and the crowd
went wild. "Coattail Rider" was performed in 'straight'
version, and later in a jazz version, just to show us how
great and tight musicians they are. Tonite's r'n'r hero was
the young drummer (from Reverend Horton-Heat) who's probably
the coolest and most talented skinsman I've ever witnessed!
Another rock solid performance from the Supersuckers, though
I wouldn't mind seeing Eddie Spaghetti doing an acoustic country
show again.
